I hope everyone had a great long weekend!
Mine was pretty nice, I went to see Valentine’s Day. While the movie was cute and funny, it was a little long for me. It was almost 2 and a half hours long. It defiantly could have been cut down. I also visited my grandma since I hadn’t seen her in a few weeks.
Other than that I didn’t really do anything and I was BORED. With this horrible weather I haven’t really been able to do anything. I just couldn’t think of anything to do so I basically just sat home the whole time.
Usually when I’m home on the weekends if I get bored I’ll go shopping, I’ll take my dogs to the park or visit with friends. Since there is so much snow the park is out of the question. I haven’t been shopping at all because I’m trying to save money. I have no will power when I go out. If I see something I like, chances are I will buy it. Which is why I have to take shopping out of the equation to save. My friends also tend to become hermits in the winter so I tend to go out a lot less too.
Now I’m stuck at home with nothing to do! If it was the summer I’d go to the beach or something. Maybe I’m just ready for winter to be over, but I always feel like there is a lot less to do in the winter than any other season.
I have thought about joining some kind of club, but besides reading I don’t really have any other hobbies. Besides shopping. lol.
Basically I’m slowly losing my mind.
How do you spend your weekends?

Most weekend I hang out Friday nights with my girlfriends. We do happy hour, then dinner and then out to another bar. Saturday I spend time with my sister and/or the new boy. Usually lunch and the movies or catch up on the dvr or watch sports - and any errands we need to do. Saturday nights I have been spending with the boy - either going out or staying in. Sundays I always have brunch with my family and then I meet the girls around 3 for cocktails - we call that our Sunday Funday. Sunday evenings I decompress and get ready for the upcoming week.
LOL. That is just a typical weekend. If there is an event or plans of course things change.
I agree that it is much harder to find fun ways to fill time in the winter months. I found myself wishing today that I could just go hang out at the dog park...but that would require the snow to melt and an increase in temps of at least twenty degrees!
How about museums, art house movie theaters, book stores, classes at the gym, concerts?
I've been trying really hard to make myself go out and try new things because I'm feeling the same way. The problem is that most things cost money so that gets in the way of my attempts at saving money :P
PS-I'm still reading but I deleted my blog (again!). I may start blogging under my name, we'll see. It's been a struggle to remain anonymous.
