How to Succeed... (Pictures)

I had a wonderful weekend. I went to the City on Saturday with some friends. We went to see "How to Succeed in Business without really trying". The lead was being played by Darren Criss from Glee! He plays Blaine on the show. He was absolutely wonderful in it! I had no idea what the show was going to be about. But it was so charming and funny. I LOVED it.

We got into the City pretty early. So we did some sight seeing.

The tree was still up at Rockefeller Center. Which I was so happy about. I haven't seen the tree up close in years.

Here I am in front of the tree.

The weather was unbelievable. I didn't even need my coat honestly. So prefect to be walking around.

Then we went to Dylan's Candy Bar. It's this massive candy shop that's owned by Ralph Lauren's Daughter. So much fun to walk around there.

A Giant Candy Tree

Of course I got some candy to eat. Very expenisive candy but delicious still.

Soon it was time for us to eat. We had made reservations at Tony Di Napoli's. It's a family style Italian place. It was good, but not the best italian food I've ever had. But I love eating family style and it was a nice place. Really fun.

We had a lot of times to kill still. So we walked to Bryant Park and bought Crumbs Cupcakes. I've never had Crumbs before and I had been dying to try them. I got two (one for then and the other for later). We sat at a table in the park, seriously the weather was too perfect, and enjoyed our cupcakes.

My huge and yummy cupcakes!

Finally it was time for the show. It was a madhouse!! The line to get into the theater wrapped all the way around the block and down. It was all teenage girls too, dying to see Darren. We had great seats. As soon as the show started and Darren came on stage there was people screaming. It was acually hilarious to watch people go crazy like that. I've never seen something like that before.

Finally once the show got into the swing of things, people calmed down and it was so great to watch the show. It was so so good. Then about 10 minutes before it ended, people were emptying out of the theather, crawling over people's lap, all to get outside and for the slim chance they would see Darren after the show. I couldn't believe it. When we left the theather, there was police outside, tape blocking off the sidewalks and hundreds of people clamaring by the stage door! Crazy crazy people. I just took a picture by a poster of him and that was more than enough for me.

He is very cute though...

It was a great night and one I hope to do again soon.

I love Crumbs! They opened two here in DC somewhat recently, and I am a fan!

Also, it's sad to think about how long it's been since I've been to NYC...must change this!

I used to go to Magnolia's Bakery for cupcakes when in NY. Yummo!
