September Goals

I noticed that a lot of bloggers like to make a list of goals for each month. I really like reading these lists and I decided to try one out for September. Here's hoping I stick to it!

  • Lose 10 pounds - so far on my little weight loss journey I've lost about 15 pounds!! For me that's big, considering I've never actively tried to lose weight before. Even better I lost this in the past 6 weeks, which I am really proud of. I would like to lose 10 pounds each month. It's healthy and a reasonable number for me to lose.
  • Only buy items that I need - My spending is a little out of control right now and I can't seem to help it. So I'm only allowed to buy necessities. This past week I spent a lot of money on clothes, shoes and bags so there is no need for me to buy anything else. My only concession is getting my hair done in 2 weeks. I've had this appointment for a while and getting my hair done is one of my favorite things to do!
  • Try to get a love life - recently I joined eharmony. I am very skeptical of the whole online dating thing, but I really need to get out there. I haven't been on a date in a long long long time. I'm not meeting anyone when I go out, so I am going to give the Internet dating thing a try. Wish me luck!

I think 3 is a good solid number for my goals this month. Are there any goals that you have set for yourself?

Honest Scrap award!

I'm very excited that Valérie tagged with the Honest Scrap Award!!! I had a bit of a writers block this week so hopefully this award and list will help break it!! Thanks again! I really appreciate it!

"The Honest Scrap award comes with a caveat or two. Firstly, you have to tell your readers ten things about you they may not know, but that are true. Secondly, you have to tag 10 people with the award. Thirdly, let all the people you've given the award to know that they've gotten it (comment on their blogs or something). And finally, make sure you link back to the person who awarded you."

Here is 10 things you may not have known about me:

1. I’ve been skydiving and bungee jumping but I am deathly afraid of Ferris Wheels. I hate how slow they go around and how much they rock back and forth when you stop at the very top! Just thinking about it freaks me out!

2. I love working and being out of the house. However when I get married and have children I would love to have the ability to stay home with them for the first few years. At the same time I know I would miss working and making an income. I would never want to be fully dependent on my husband. This is where the lottery comes in. J

3. I would like to adopt a child one day. I think it’s a beautiful thing when people adopt. Even more special when people adopt a child that is not a baby. I feel just awful when I read stories about kids who want nothing more to be adopted but aren’t because of their age. It really breaks my heart.

4. I have a huge fear that I will lose my hearing one-day. When I was little I had a lot of ear problems and ear infections. As a result there is a lot of scar tissue in my ears and in certain situations, like at noisy restaurant, I cannot hear what anyone is saying. It’s all white noise to me. I’m afraid that when I’m older it will just get worse and worse until it’s totally gone. Not being able to hear peoples speak, listen to music, and watch movies without subtitles scares me.

5. I no longer have a relationship with my dad. It took me a long time to realize that I am better off not having him in my life. However deep deep down I still wish things would have turned out differently. I wish he had tried just a little harder to have me in his life. His loss.

6. If I could move anywhere in the world without having to worry about money and/or working I would go back to London. When I studied abroad there I was happy. Truly happy. It felt like home. I loved everything about that city. The people, the history, the atmosphere, and even the food.

7. I am a very picky eater. To the point where I’m almost impossible sometimes. I hate and am embarrassed that I’m such a picky eater. I feel like a child because I don’t eat certain things. I wish I could be one of those people who will eat anything. That being said I very rarely step outside my comfort zone to try something new.

8. It’s hard for me to accept compliments about the way I look. I don’t know why, maybe because I don’t get them a lot or if it’s because deep down I don’t believe them, but I feel very awkward when someone comments about me. If someone says I’m pretty I don’t believe them or I’m afraid there will be a “but” afterward. I can’t tell you how many times a person has said, “oh you’re so pretty… but you would be gorgeous if you lost weight.” Or my favorite, “You have such a pretty face”. AKA everything else is gross. Thanks.

9. When I was little I used to dream about being a mermaid. Every time I took a bath or went swimming I would pretend I was one. I was just completely fascinated at the concept of being able to stay underwater forever and get to swim and see all different types of whales and fishes. Also all mermaids had the most amazing hair ever!

10. It’s impossible for me to stay mad at people for a long time. Being disappointed is another issue. I could get into a massive fight with someone and an hour later all if forgiven and we’re back to being normal. Sometimes an apology is not even needed. I just don’t see the point in being angry with someone for a long time. It ends up hurting you more than the person you’re mad at. It’s freeing to be able to just let it go.

Thursday Thoughts

  • I cannot believe that next weekend is Memorial Day weekend!!! This year is flying by!!! I am so excited for the three-day weekend. Also even more exciting the start of summer Friday’s at my office!!!
  • Now that it is May I am ready for it to be really warm. I am itching to go swimming!!
  • I still haven't planned my summer vacation. I'm starting to get worried that I won't be able to do anything.
  • I was really upset at the biggest loser. Helen shouldn't have won in my opinion. She look anorexic and plus she made her daughter go home instead of herself? What parent does that??
  • I recently bought some clothes online at forever 21. They have a new plus size line there. They don't have a huge selection and also they only go up to 2x! So really it's only partially plus sized. Most other places go up to at least 3X. Anyway, I got 4 shirts there. 2 fit great and 2 were a little too tight. Which was better then I was expecting, plus they are cute and cheap and will serve as a good going out shirts this summer.
  • I'm about to leave work and go see my foot doctor. Fingers crossed that everything is going good!

Thursday Thoughts

  • I am so glad that I don’t have to go in to work tomorrow and today is my Friday.
  • Even though I will be in pain tomorrow, considering the week I had, I will gladly take in exchange of not going to work tomorrow.
  • Speaking of tomorrow. I am getting really nervous. I’m afraid of the pain. I’m afraid it won’t take. My anxiety is out of control. I just want it to be over already you know? This waiting stuff is killing me!
  • I am so SICK of the rain. This is not Seattle. When is the sun coming back???
  • I am really upset that Jon from Jon and Kate plus 8 is being such a douche. Even if he didn’t cheat, in my opinion he was/is well on his way to. That is not going to solve your problems Jon!

Am I turning into an old lady?

This past weekend: Eye doctor

Monday: Dentist

Friday: Hospital for my PRP Injections

Saturday: Getting fit for orthodics

Does anyone else think this list sounds like something an 80 year old woman would be doing this week and NOT a 24 year old???

I’m getting really sick of having to go to the doctor so much! Here’s hoping that I will be done with all this crap soon!

Thursday Thoughts

  • I found out yesterday that my insurance will cover the PRP injections I told you about before! I’m so happy to be moving forward and hopefully healing my foot!
  • It is so freaking hot in my office. All week I’ve felt like I’m sitting in a sauna. Someone really needs to crack open a window NOW. We aren’t allowed to do it for some reason.
  • My mother’s day gift finally came in the mail yesterday. It is so cute. I seriously love Etsy. I’m sure my mom will love it, and she is hard to please! I promise I will post a picture and review of it after Mother’s day.
  • I can’t wait for the weekend to start. This week seems to be never ending. I can’t wait to be able to relax, visit with friends and do a little spring shopping. There are these outlets by me that I love. I really want to go to the Puma outlet and buy some new shoes.
  • Also have any of you ever bought Cole Haan shoes? I have never worn them before but someone told me that some of them actually are made with Nike Air. I’m very curious to see how they feel. They also have an outlet to where I’m going. I may have to try on a few pairs. ;)
  • I’ve also been itching to do some spring-cleaning. Every so often I get the urge to just come through my room and get rid of anything that I don’t use anymore. It always makes me feel good when I do this. Not sure if I will have time to this weekend, but I will get to it soon.

Decisions decisions

A while back I made a list of things I wanted to accomplish before my birthday. One of the items was to start saving more money. Well I’m happy to say that I’ve been doing really well with this! Since January I’ve managed to save about $3,000 dollars. Considering that I don’t make a lot of money and I have bills to pay I’m really proud of myself for doing this much.

My original goal when I started saving was so I can eventually move out of my mom’s house. Now I’ve really put that idea into motion but there are some things holding me back. I’ve always wanted to live in NYC. It’s been a goal of mine since before I can remember. Since rent is crazy expensive I defiantly needed to save up some money first.

Now I’m rethinking this. I feel like I would be wasting this hard earned money of mine to live in a closet. Also I have my dog to keep in mind now so it will be even harder to find a pet friendly place. I just keep asking myself if it’s worth it.

Maybe I should just try and find a place near me. But then would that be a waste of money moving out of my house to live someplace 10 minutes away? Also if I did that my dog would basically die or have to stay with my mom. I leave my house at 7:30 in the morning and I don’t come home til 8:30 every night. Having him sit in a cage for 13 hours is just cruel. I don’t think I could leave him at my mom’s.

Now I’ve been thinking is to put off moving out some more. Instead maybe I should invest this money in an IRA. I figured since I’m saving so much instead of it sitting in a savings account, I could be growing it into a good sum of money so I can retire eventually.

Best-case scenario would be if I found a job that had better hours or if it was closer to where I live now. Since the job market is still pretty crappy I’m not banking on that any time soon.

What do you think I should do? Stop being scared and take the plunge and move to the city? Invest in my future? I’m utterly confused right now. I’m pretty sure all this is coming up because I’m scared, but these are viable things to be worried about.

Thursday Thoughts

Few random thoughts for today
  • There are a bunch of people I work with who wash their hand BEFORE they go to the bathroom. WTF? You’re doing it backwards! Why would you wash your hands, knowing that in 20 seconds they will be dirty again and you will need to rewash them? Can anyone please explain why they are doing this??

  • I’m going to a wedding in a little over a week. It’s not a big fancy wedding, the bride was married before, but I still feel like I should wear a dress. I bought on the other day that was on clearance for 10 bucks. I LOVE this dress. My mother? Hates it. Nothing really new there, we have totally different tastes, but now I’m worried that it doesn’t look good and I have nothing to wear. I need a second opinion. Maybe if I remember I will take a picture and you can be the judge!

  • Oh and finally, I mentioned a while ago that I got a new dog. I left off with telling you that my family was fighting over his name. Then I never mentioned it again. Ooops. Anyway to make up for it I am posting a picture!

Meet Bruno!

Happy Blogiversary!!

Today is my Blogiversary!! One year ago today I started writing this blog. I cannot believe I’ve actually kept up with writing posts on a regular basis. Now that I’ve been doing this for so long, I can’t picture not doing it. It’s become part of my life and I love that I have a little space that’s all about me. In real life I rarely make anything about me, so I’m happy I can be a little selfish here.
Now since it’s a special day I’m here to beg you to delurk!! I know I have more readers here then people who comment, so please say hi!! Also feel free to ask me anything you want! I will be sure to answer ALL of them. If you have more then one question then ask away! Now I know that Friday’s is the place that blogs go to die, so I will ask again on Monday for questions!

Also I decided to tell you a few things that you may not know about me!!

Enjoy!

  1. I mentioned this yesterday, but I was once arrested. It was for aiding and abetting. A friend of mine tried to use a fake ID at a bar around here. She got busted and was arrested. I went over to try and help out and got arrested for aiding and abetting. Not cool police. Even though I was arrested that night was actually a lot of fun. We were scared but the cops kept on hitting on us and I remember all of us singing along to our ring tones. After our court dates I ended up with only a very pricey ticket. Which was good.

  2. To this day though I still don’t’ know if I technically arrested or not. When it was happening they said no. I must have asked them a thousand times if I was being arrested and each time they said no. Then at court they said I was. Which one was it people?

  3. I’m a very emotional person. Just watching a sad commercial can make me tear up. I cry when I’m happy, sad, angry and sometimes when I’m just exhausted. Even though I’m emotional, I have a very hard time actually expressing my emotions to others. Which doesn’t make sense, but it’s true.

  4. I have gone out with THREE guys named Jason. I don’t know what it is but it seems to be my lucky name. My first kiss was a guy names Jason, the guy right after him was named Jason, and the first guy I dated in college was named Jason!

  5. I love listening to the oldies!! I blame it on my mom because it’s the only I ever listened to when I was younger. Out of all my friends I’m probably the only person who can sing along to Motown without missing a beat! Also I love watching old movies and TV shows. Singing in the Rain and I Love Lucy are defiant all-time favorites of mine. People always tell me I was born in the wrong decade.

  6. Speaking of music. I don’t listen to only one genre. I don’t believe in limiting myself. I listen to everything from Alternative to R&B to Oldies. Same goes with movies. I love seeing all different types of films. My family hates all the movies I get with my Netflix. I told them to get their own subscription.

I hope you enjoyed that little glimpse into my life and please ask me some questions!!

The Run Down

I still feel like I have nothing good to blog about lately, however I don’t want to stop blogging all together. I have to make myself write posts. It’s better for me when I write out whatever is going on in my life, however boring it may be.

Plus it drives me insane when a fellow blogger that I read just disappears. At the very least I think these people should give an FYI that they are abandoning their blog.

I decided to do a little update on my life in bullets.

  • Today is St. Patrick’s Day, which for most people means drinking and having a good time. For me, it means having to deal with those drunks on the train to and from work. I can’t stand how rude people can be on the train to begin with, throw in some booze and they are unbearable. Take a later train and leave us commuters be!!
  • I recently moved my desk at work and it is the opposite way of my old desk which is completely disorienting my. I’m slightly OCD when it comes to certain things and with my old desk I had a system in place that worked very well for me. Now with this new location everything is backwards and I’m having a hard time finding my rhythm. I know that may seem dumb but you’d be surprised just how much it throws you off.
  • However I am loving my new location. Sitting near my team makes me feel like I belong again. Also I sit near my old work spouse and now have a person I can chat with on a daily basis.
  • I am going to visit my friends from college in a few weeks. I can’t wait. It’s been a few months since I’ve seen them and it will be good to catch up and go out with them.
  • My Aunt has very generously offered for me to stay in her condo in Florida for a week. She won’t be staying there this summer and thought it would be a waste if no one used it. That just warms my heart when people do such kind things like that. Plus, now I can defiantly go on vacation somewhere and will save a lot of money because I won’t have to pay to stay somewhere! Now I just need to figure out when I will be going.

Are you making any vacation plans yet? If so where are you going?

Six Things

Since this is my last post for a while I decided to post the 6 things that make me happy. Miss Merry tagged me to do this a while ago and I figure now it the perfect time.

1. My dog. He provided me with great comfort after my other dog passed away. Seeing his little face every day makes the whole thing a little less hard.

2. My family. As crazy as they are, I love them! Even though I don’t get along great with my one brother, I know he’s always there for me. My mother, who even though loves to criticize me, I know deep down she’s only doing it because she wants the very best for me.

3. My friends. Especially my best friend. She is the sister I never had and I know I can always count on her.

4. My upcoming vacation. I haven’t had a real break from work since May, so this is long over due.

5. Traveling. I hope to be able to do more of it soon!

6. Taking pictures. I love capturing memories. I love seeing the emotion. That one moment in time will forever be remembered.

I want to wish everyone Happy Holidays! I am looking forward to a new year and new beginnings!

Custom Made

First I just wanted to say that work has been interesting. I’m really busy right now but I don’t mind because the time is flying by and also because in one week I will officially be on vacation! Then my boss got a package from our sister office. There were 2 packages for me!! They were thank you/holiday presents from 2 of my co-workers. I was so surprised and really touched by the thought. It defiantly made my week!

Next Karen from Smiling Through it All had a fellow blogger interview her and she had to answer the questions honestly and post them. Sorta like a customized MEME. I really liked this idea so when Karen offered to do the same I jumped at the chance. Here are her questions and my responses. Enjoy!

1. What is your favorite Christmas movie or cartoon? Why?

That’s easy. It’s National Lampoons Christmas Vacation. It’s hysterical. Every year on Christmas Eve my family and I watch this. It’s one of the few traditions that we keep up with, so on top of it being funny; it also holds a special place in my heart because of that.

2. Are you doing anything to pursue the makeup artist dream job or have you decided to go in a different direction?

Yes actually. I have been applying like crazy for jobs in the cosmetic industry. Unfortunately because I don’t have enough experience yet and/or the economy sucks I haven’t really gotten any responses back. I would like to take another class or become an apprentice to someone but I just don’t have the time with my work hours.

However randomly, if I were to ever to say quit my job or do something drastic it would be to go back to school and study photography. Those are essentially my 2 dream jobs, and I constantly go back and forth between them.

3. Do you have a "type" that you look for in a significant other? What is that type?

I don’t know if I have a type per se. Sometimes I got for the guy that’s more masculine. You know the guy that has a constant 5 o’clock shadow, whose typical uniform is jeans and a t-shirt, loves sports and would rather die then talk about mushy stuff. Then other times I’m into the EMO guy who play guitar or piano and writes poetry. Total opposite. So I guess my dream guy would be a mesh of those two. Which I doubt is possible.

However no matter what type the guy is, they have to have a sense of humor! If a guy can’t make me laugh then forget about it.

4. What is weakness when it comes to shopping for yourself?

When shopping I have a HUGE weakness for bags. I have so many bags, clutches, wristlets, totes; you name it I’ve got it. Every time I go to a store I tend to drift to that section and always find a way to reason with myself as to why I NEED this one. I’ve gotten better at resisting but sometimes there’s one that I just can’t NOT buy.

5. Do have the desire to be a mother someday?

I can’t wait to become a mom one day! Of course I’m scared that I’ll screw the kid up, but I really look forward to becoming a mother. I love children. I used to babysit and even taught swim lessons for a while and even though it wasn’t easy at times, it never made me doubt my ability to become a mother. However I don’t want to have children until I’m in my 30s. I want to take my time. No rushing.

My To Do

Let me start by saying I HATE to do lists. Especially when it comes to life. A lot of people do these lists to help guide them, either it be toward a better you or making a list of things to do before reaching a certain age. I don’t usually like them because I feel like it puts to much pressure on you. I am one of those people that when I say I will do something, I do it. I don’t just talk the talk I walk the walk. That’s why I avoid making lists. I would hate myself if I didn’t complete it. I would actually feel guilty and feel like a failure. On the other hand, I feel like I need to make a list now, to get myself motivated and moving toward the right direction.

Which is why I made a list of things to do before I turn 25. Twenty-five will be a big birthday for me, and its one of those ages where when your younger you feel like your whole life will be in place. I now know that that whole mentality is bullshit, but at the same time I do need to be going in some sort of direction toward that life. Whatever it may become.

Now to alleviate that pressure I am not making it mandatory for me to finish the whole list and I have also thrown in fun stuff to make it seem less daunting. Enjoy.

Here is my list of things to do before I turn 25 in about 7 months. Enjoy.

  • Get a new job that I actually like
  • Eat healthier
  • Take a photography class
  • Start getting more exercise (walking to the printer at work doesn't count)
  • Get more of a social life
  • Start dating more (oh who am I kidding, just start dating period)
  • Try and talk out my issues with my mother (tried before, didn't work. Maybe this time it will)
  • Take a road trip somewhere
  • Become friends with my brother. Actual friends that hang out, not people who constantly fight or just ignore each other.
  • To be able to handle my anxiety better
  • Go see a Broadway musical (I haven't been to one in soo long)
  • Start saving more money
  • Get another tattoo (I'm still debating this one)
  • Actually go out in the city (instead of just coming to work and then leaving right away)
  • Stop obsessing over things I have no control over
  • Swim in a fountain (I've always wanted to do this)

So wish me luck and here’s to the improved me!

I love lists

  • Things got much better after Monday
  • I am convinced I was somehow drugged because I was really really out of it. Like I didn’t know how I got home out of it.
  • So excited that the Office is back on tonight!!
  • Can’t wait for the weekend. It will be the first weekend were I can actually sleep in for a change.
  • Thinking about dying my hair red.
  • I’m to chicken and I’ll probably just go auburn.
  • Either way it will be a big change. The sun really lighted up my hair this summer.
  • My brother wants to get married on a little island in Florida. I hope he does. It is so beautiful there!

7 weird facts about yours truly

CC at Fork in the Road tagged me in a MEME. I am supposed to tell you all 7 weird facts about myself. I am a very strange person but for some reason it was really hard to make this list up. I guess I just didn’t want to scare you or have you think I’m really crazy. Here is what I came up with! Enjoy!

  1. I am a little OCD. Certain things have to be done a certain way or I will freak out. For instance my morning routine is pretty much timed to the minute. Also you go into a room and there are like 2 or 3 light switches right next to each other?? It drives me crazy when they are not all facing the same way. It’s weird I know.

  2. I used to wear glasses. From the age of 2 to about 12 I had to wear glasses for being cross-eyed and a little nearsighted. Then my eyes got better and I no longer need them. I now have perfect vision. Some people still think I wear contacts and don’t believe me when I tell them that it’s all-better.

  3. I’m the only person in my immediate family that has blue eyes. My mom, dad and brothers all have brown eyes. The only other person to have them is my grandpa on my dad’s side.

  4. Ferris wheels scare the crap out of me. Seriously. They go up really high, very slowly, making a sound that is not normal, and I feel like I’m just going to plummet down to my death. It is so tedious. It is torture. However, I have gone Sky Diving, Bungee jumping and basically every roller coaster at Great Adventure, but the damn Ferris Wheel freaks me out.

  5. While other little kids dreamed of being a teacher, astronaut, president…. I dreamt of being a waitress. That was one of my favorite games to play. I put on an apron, roller skates (because I worked at a 50s diner), and a little pad and used to pretend to be a waitress. When people would ask me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I would tell them that. My only saving grace? My brothers wanted to become a garbage man so they could ride on the back of the truck. Apparently my family likes to keep expectations low.

  6. I have what people call hitchhiker thumbs. They stick out at a 90-degree angle and my thumb is bent backward instead of just being straight. Since I can’t really explain it I am posting the picture. That’s not my hand, but that’s basically how it looks. Whenever I had to get a physical they always marked hands as “abnormal”.

  7. I don’t know how you would classify this but it isn’t normal so this could be my last weird thing. For whatever reason I have met quite a few celebrities. Most while I was in England doing an internship, some I live near, and the other was just random. I have met: Mini Driver (internship), Christian Slater (internship), Bruce Springsteen (live near), Bon Jovi (live near), Nicolas Cage (random), Hugh Dancy (internship), Wentworth Miller (internship), Maury Povich and Connie Chung (live near). Now to be fair, the people that I live near I have never actually spoken to. There are even more famous people that live near me, I didn’t put the ones I haven’t seen up here, but we tend to leave them all alone. Either way it’s still pretty cool.

Now I’m supposed to tag people but I figured if you like this idea then you should go for it! If you do, let me know so I can see it!

October

To mean when it becomes October it officially means falls, despite the really warm weather we've been having lately. So let me list some things I am excited about

  • Wearing fall clothes (i.e. sweaters, jackets and scarfs)
  • Seeing the leaves change colors
  • Being outside on a crisp cool night
  • Going to football games (my brother is an assistant coach at a high school and I love going to them)
  • Eating pumpkin seeds
  • Halloween

Now about Halloween. I like the holiday because you get to watch scary movies while gorging yourself with candy. That I love. I hate dressing up in costume. Am I the only one that feels awkward and like an idiot when they dress up?? Even when I was little I felt awkward. There are some people I see all dressed up and they look so cool and comfortable. Me? I look uncomfortable and defiantly not confident or cool. All my friends are talking about the parties and bars they will be going to and what they will be dressing up as.

All I want to do is stay home, watch a scary movie and eat candy. But they look at me like I’m a freak because I don’t want to dress up and get drunk. No thank you, I would rather go drinking in my normal clothes. Even last year I saw people coming home from work in costume on the train! I could NEVER do that. I’m sorry but I think I will pass this year. If I do go out, you’ll be lucky to see me with my little glitter devil horn headband I have.

Musings

  • There was a man preaching to people on the platform today while I was waiting for the train. Why? Do you think us commuters are really bad sinners or something? I’m sorry but the last thing I want to deal with while waiting for the train is someone imposing their religious beliefs on me.
  • I am loving this fall weather. I’m so excited that I spent a lot of money on fall/winter clothes this past weekend. I’m even seeing some trees start to change colors! Oh how I love when that happens!!
  • I’m taking a half day off of work this coming Friday. It’s for a doctor’s appointment but even so I’m so excited to leave at one.
  • Tomorrow is my best friend’s birthday. We’re calling it her Champion birthday because a psychic told her that it’s your champion year when you turn the same age as the date of your birthday. AKA she’s turning 24 on the 24th.
  • Mine will be when I turn 28.
  • If this is true it really sucks for people who can’t enjoy it, ala a one year old.
  • I am also loving having new television to watch. My DVR is getting full and I love it. Tonight I am looking forward to watching a new episode of House.
  • I sent out a bunch of resumes out today at work. I know this makes me a terrible employee but when the weekend comes the last thing I want to do is sit in front of a computer.
  • I think I made a pretty decent cover letter for these applications. Let’s keep our fingers crossed.
  • I am not keeping my hopes up with anything I send out. I’m tired of being disappointed all the time. Whatever happens, happens. I will just move on to the next thing.
  • Even though it is fall, I can’t believe that people are already talking about Halloween. I cannot believe time is going by this fast!

Will you dress up for Halloween? If so what will you be?

Bullet points

I'm too lazy to write a real post today. Instead I bring you Bullet points! Full recap of my brother's visit coming soon!

  • At my job we are switching servers for our e-mails. It is a mess and I haven’t been able to check anything ALL day. It’s driving me crazy.
  • On top of that work is still stressing me out. So bad that my gastric reflux is back in full swing and Tums have become my new best friend.
  • Even though I hate my job, it has made me stronger and able to say “No” a lot more often in my personal life. It is finally teaching me how to put myself first in life.
  • This weekend is the first weekend in months that I don’t have a lot planned. It will be devoted to looking for jobs and sending out my resume.
  • I’m still not sure what I should do next, so I’m sure my search will be random.
  • I’m hoping to get better results this way.
  • This past weekend was a blast. I was so happy to see my brother and or little get together turned out to be a pretty big party
  • Everyone seems to like his girlfriend. I give her a lot of credit because she held her own the whole weekend. It’s one thing to meet someone’s family, quite another to meet everyone that is important in his life.
  • I think my brothers have a deeper respect for me after this weekend. Especially after showing off my beer pong skills. I lost every time, but held my own throughout the game.
  • My mother decided to try and belittle me at every moment during the party.
  • People have finally realized the hell she can put me through, and how unfair she treats me compared to my brother.
  • She still has no clue that she does this.
  • Other than that this weekend was a blast!
